Today we were able to witness the 5th and 6th grade classes launch rockets over the playground. Every two years these grade levels go to Starbase Camp for a day at the VT National Guards in S Burlington and learn about the rockets. The students I talked with told me they learned about Newton’s 3 laws, rocket components, nano technology among other things. They also used a flight simulator and were introduced to coding. Maybe this group includes a John Glenn or Sally Ride or a NASA scientist.
